Privacy Policy
Flodi Labs ("we", "us", "our") operates the mobile game Shadow Survivors (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we and our service providers collect when you use the App, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information We Do Not Collect Directly
The App does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any direct identifier. All gameplay data (your character selection, stage progress, leaderboard scores, settings, language preference) is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services
The App uses Google AdMob to display rewarded video advertisements. When you choose to watch an advertisement, AdMob and Google may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
- Device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID such as IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android)
- IP address (used to estimate general geographic location, such as country/region)
- Device information (operating system, device model, language settings)
- Non-personal crash and diagnostic logs
- Ad interaction data (whether an ad was shown, viewed, or clicked)
This data is collected by Google and is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy. We do not access raw device identifiers; we only see aggregated and anonymized reports.
2. How We Use Information
The information collected via AdMob is used to:
- Show advertisements (personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent)
- Measure ad performance and prevent fraud
- Maintain and improve the App
- Comply with legal obligations
Local data on your device is used only to provide the gameplay features you requested (saving your progress, leaderboard, settings).
3. Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS 14.5 and later, when you first launch the App you will see an Apple system prompt asking whether the App can track your activity across other apps and websites. This prompt is triggered by AdMob to determine whether personalized ads can be shown.
- If you select "Allow", you may see ads more relevant to your interests.
- If you select "Ask App Not to Track", you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity in other apps.
You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
- Google AdMob — Mobile advertising service provided by Google LLC.
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
AdMob Privacy & Terms: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 - Apple App Store / TestFlight — Distribution and crash reporting platform provided by Apple Inc.
Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
5. EU/EEA & UK Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and equivalent laws:
- Right of access — to know what personal data is processed
- Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict or object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
The legal basis for processing data via AdMob is your consent (where required) or our legitimate interest in showing advertisements that allow us to offer the App for free. The first time you launch the App in the EU/EEA/UK, AdMob may show you a Google-provided consent form (UMP). You can change your consent at any time by uninstalling and reinstalling the App, or by contacting us.
6. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information are collected and the purposes
- Request deletion of personal information collected from you
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
To opt out of personalized ads on iOS, use the App Tracking Transparency setting (see Section 3) or enable "Limit Ad Tracking" in your device settings. We do not knowingly sell personal information for monetary value, but the use of advertising identifiers via AdMob may be considered "sharing" under the CPRA.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under the relevant age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will take steps to delete such information.
The App contains stylized fantasy violence (defeating monsters) and is rated for ages 9+ in the Apple App Store. Parental discretion is advised.
8. Data Retention
Local gameplay data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its data. AdMob retention periods are governed by Google. We do not maintain our own servers that store user data.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through the App. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
If you are outside the United States, please note that information collected by AdMob and other third-party services may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted at:
https://shadow-survivors-website.vercel.app/privacy.html
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
